Our client is a global company in the fintech sector that has just been formed as a JV between two world leaders – one, a global giant in the derivatives space and second, a world leader in financial research and analytics.

The new company is being formed by merging two entities, both of which are highly profitable companies with a combined track record of 80 years. Our client will be creating products that focus on the entire post-trade spectrum of activities in the global financial market. Their existing products will be re-positioned with the latest technologies.

This company will work in the area of derivatives and OTC products, which are the most complex parts of the financial market. The company is laying the foundations of a great culture and the space to build a great organization. Their current objective is to identify individuals who have high expertise, to join their existing team of experts who are spread across the world.

The Job

Our client is seeking a technical analyst/consultant to join the Technology Consulting Team. The role encompasses client liaison, business analysis and technical implementation support for our Trade Processing applications.


You will work with an experienced global team to contribute to the quality of services. You must be client focused as well as being technically literate and will become an SME for one or more Platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and workflow advice to customers integrating to the Platforms
  • Support and assist strategic initiatives to roll out new functionality or decommission old functionality
  • Drive regular API technical focused meetings with key customers
  • Analyze customer requirements and provide feedback to internal development and business analysis teams
  • Help co-ordinate external integration working groups - gathering intelligence on API/messaging use and driving adoption of best practice
  • Help drive functional change in the core product to meet customer requirements
  • Help drive our Professional Services Initiative, partnering with clients to meet their needs, and providing dedicated consultancy and support
Your Profile
  • University graduate, science related degree preferred
  • Development experience (SQL, VBScript, Java, C, C++, Perl, Python) is desirable but not essential
  • Experience/Knowledge of XML or APIs desirable
  • Experience in IT consulting or in a Client Facing technical role desirable but not mandatory
