The Job

They are now seeking to hire AVP – Business Development who has expertise in building and maintaining a high-end client base in the Banking and Financial Services. This position reports to the CEO.

Primary purpose of the role is to generate and enhance revenue from the identified client base, which gives it a dual focus:

  1. Acquire some of the largest Banking & NBFC logos in India
  2. Nurture existing customers by fostering long-term relationships, driving customer satisfaction and growing the relationship

Job Responsibilities:

  • New logos
    • Map the entire decision-maker and influencer organisation hierarchy new logo accounts. Build responsibilities, create opportunities and drive towards closure
    • Use the CRM to maintain the pipeline
  • Existing logos
  • Grow the existing client relationships into strategic accounts
  • Provide proactive strategy in client in order to generate sales, including consulting based up-selling and cross-selling
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships across the hierarchy within accounts
  • Forecast and tracks client account metrics
  • Service multiple clients concurrently while meeting deadlines
  • Prepare Functional Specification Document based on Business Requirement Document shared by the client
    • Identify and build advocacy relationships with strategic customers acting as a marketing channel through case studies, speaking opportunities, references, etc.


Your Profile

You must ideally be an MBA from a premier institution with 12+ years of experience in the function and a demonstrated ability to nurture relationships, manage opportunities and deliver revenues. Experience in selling technology products and services to the banking/financial services sector is essential.

Key skills will include :

  • Ability to Manage Multiple Projects and Relationships Simultaneously,
  • Ability to understand client’s requirement.
  • Ability to sense and create business opportunities
  • Confident, high energy, self-motivated and a true team player
  • Experience of working with senior and executive level customer contacts
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to work and excel in fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
